Info & Pricing
My portraits are completely hand drawn with colored pencils, individual artworks. Portraits are drawn from a reference photo. My goal is highly detailed, fine art portraits. I use Prisma Color Premier (USA), Faber Castell Polychromos (DE) colored pencils for artists while creating. I mostly draw on Strathmore Artist paper (Acid-free), which ensures portraits quality & longevity.
Reference photos
Reference photo is important. For the drawing I will need a really good photo from you. Best photos are done at the eye level with your pet, then the pet is front-facing you in natural light. I can give you an individual advice if necessary. Sometimes references are low in quality, blurry and you can't see all the details, so the detail in the portrait suffers too. In cases then the pet is already deceased and you can't make another photo of course I'll do my best to recreate as much as I can. Best way is to send me your favorite photo of the pet & a few additional others to discuss the best one for the art piece.
Sizing & Price for Pet portraits
At this moment you can choose between two different paper sizes. Keep in mind, that the prices below are for traditional style portrait with no background (check my Gallery for examples). Additional figures or background has an additional pricing. If you want a different size or other type of drawing, let me know! Contact me or fill the form below to get an individual offer.

Booking a portrait
After we agree on a reference photo, to secure a slot on my waiting list, I require a non-refundable 30 % deposit, via bank transfer or PayPal. The remaining payment can be made once the drawing is complete. Please note that waiting times can be up to several months especially near Christmas season. That's why I recommend you to reserve your slot as soon as possible. I inform you as soon as I start drawing.
Shipping
Drawing is shipped safely packed, with no frame. Shipping within EU is costs from 5 to 20 euros, the package is insured & tracked. Shipping price outside EU - costs from 15 euros. Shipping price is not included in the portraits price.
Drawing vs photo, or photo vs drawing
Here you can see an example of a Boxer portrait I've done and the difference between the photo that was provided to me by the owner and the drawing itself. The photo was good, but blurry at some points and one of his ears wasn't showing as it supposed to, it was all fixed while drawing.

Obtaining a drawing gives you a right to owning the drawing, but all the artistic rights belongs to the Artist. You can't make copy, sell or print the artwork.
