I am Ieva, an artist or simply a creative soul. Being an empath, half of my adult life I worked as a Social Worker with families in need. Depending on the circumstances in my life I drew & painted “on & off” as I say. But finally, just then the COVID-19 hit the world I re-entered the Art world strongly. I’ve always searched for a way to “be” in art, but the timing never seemed to be right. In my teenage years I used to paint with oil paint a lot, but during that time I picked up a colored pencil. I loved experimenting with different techniques and how involved and close you can be with your art.  

   Animals & nature are very important part in my life from an early age. Even now I find myself at my best then I'm close to animals and nature, especially forest and lakes. 

​   In year 2020 as I was already starting to draw immensely, I stumbled on a beautiful realistic pet portrait and I told myself, “Well, this is amazing! I can’t imagine drawing like this!” I became fascinated by realism and began collecting the information about colored pencils & pet portraits, realistic drawing. Once I did, I told myself “Well, if others can, why can’t I?” -and the answer was simple “I can”.
